description

This kit contains 2 sleeve screws, bushings and a matching sleeve for the screw at midth of the head brackets.

Disassembling of the pole:
Unscrew the nut in the middle of the headbracket and take off the washer(s) and pull out the screw. Then put the screw back into the now visible sleeve and drive it sunk a couple of milimeters into the head bracket. After that take out the screw and drive out the old sleeves with the screw head ahead. Now the pole and the tension spring can be taken out.

Assembling of the pole:
Turn the pole upside down (onto the handlebar respectively the ball). Knot an about 200mm long loop out of a strong, but not too thick string and hook it in the eyelet of the spring inside the black resin block. Now pull the string loop strongly until the eyelet is so far out that the new short sleeve can be pushed through the slots of the resin block and the eyelet. Align the sleeve so that there is no overlap at any side. When spring and sleeve are fitted correct, cut the loop and pull out the string.
Now press the yellow bushings into bores located in the midth of the head brackets (with head brackets of 8mm thickness the bushings must be shortened 1mm, so that they do not overlap at the inside). Put the pole between the head brackets and mount the new sleeve screws.

Tip:
The bore of the short sleeve at the black resin block is located a bit above that of the yellow bushings. Use a belonging allen key at the sleeve screw to bring down the sleeve and get the screw through. It is recommended to grease the sleeve screws a bit to be sure to get them out smooth anytime.
